William "Bill" Robert Stoddard Jr., age 79, peacefully entered his eternal rest on June 4, 2026. Bill was born to William and Mary Ruth (Schmitz) Stoddard on June 26, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio. His family including four siblings lived in West Dayton where he attended St. Agnes School and Church. Bill graduated from Chaminade High School in 1964. While a student at University of Dayton, he served as Recreation Director at St. Joseph Home for Children. Bill earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in1968, and a Masters in Engineering Management in 1973 both from UD. He married the love of his life, Linda Ann Kline, on Thanksgiving Day1968. They welcomed three children, Jennifer, Christopher and Megan. Bill worked 14 years at National Cash Register Company first in the Plastics Lab and later at Systemedia. Bill later became a partner and owner of Accutech Plastic Molding and was still involved in the business in his later years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fairborn Council 3724, earning Knight of the Year, and serving one year as Grand Knight. He enjoyed being a Golden Eagle and Golden Flyer, attending yearly reunions with his wife Linda. Bill was a life-long learner who enjoyed reading and visiting many libraries in the Dayton area. He was a Dayton Flyers Basketball fan from a young age and enjoyed attending home games with Linda. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Timothy Stoddard; Godson, Lucas Stoddard; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Kline. He will be forever missed by his loving wife and best friend, Linda; his daughters Megan (Kyle) LoGreco and Jennifer Stoddard; his son Christopher Stoddard; his sister Marsha (Rich) Weigand; his brothers Gregory (Cindi) Stoddard and Thomas Stoddard; his grandchildren Emily (Eric) Baldwin, Molly Moesner, Jacob Moesner, Caleb Moesner, Chase LoGreco, Quinn LoGreco; his great-grandchildren Jude Baldwin, Oliver Baldwin, Vivian Baldwin, Lucy Baldwin; sister-in-law Beth Kline, ten nieces and four nephews. Bill was an animal lover and cared for many pets over the years, several who just showed up at the door. On Thursday, June 18, we will gather at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr, Dayton, OH 45415 from 4-6 pm to share memories with his family. Together, we will join to celebrate his long and fulfilled life on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 10:30 am at Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church 954 N Maple Ave, Fairborn, OH 45324. Bill will rest at Shiloh Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the University of Dayton.
