James R. Wack, 65, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was born on October 8, 1945 in Piqua, Ohio the son of Carl and Hazel (Putnam) Wack. Jim served our country in the United States Air Force following high school. He worked as Senior Materials Manager for Caraustar Industries. Jim enjoyed collecting, golf, and fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Jean (Murray) Wack of Springfield, two daughters and a son-in-law: Debrah Rollins of Memphis, Tennessee; and Renee' Michelle and Brian Scoville of Springfield; four grandsons: Gregory (Ellyn), Anthony, Joshua, and Jacob; three granddaughters: Olivia, Cassie, and Alissa; one great granddaughter, Nathalie, one sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and George Kramer of Xenia; one brother, Paul Wack of Columbus, sister-in-law, Julie Wack of Dayton, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Steven Wack. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 7, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
