Paul Richard Wagner passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2021 from a heart attack, in Birmingham, AL. He was 74 years old. Paul was born on September 29, 1946 in Dayton, OH. He graduated from University of Cincinnati with a Master’s of Arts and worked for almost 50 years. Paul loved school and at age 63 he received his 2nd Masters (Interactive Media & Communications) at Elon University in North Carolina. He was proudly the oldest person on campus but made many friends. His career took him across the globe building unique skills in marketing strategies by researching product trends and building relationships with vendors and factories. He loved his job. Paul was preparing to retire on the 50th anniversary of his first day of work and was planning to go back to college again. Paul is predeceased in death by his parents Clayton James and Mary Jo Waitzman Wagner and his brother James. He is survived by his only child, Emily Wagner Butler and her husband Ted as well as his nephew, Richard Wagner and his wife Charmaine and many friends and loved ones. Paul’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no formal service.
