Ronald "Ron" James Tobe, age 79, of Englewood, passed away on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026. He was born to the late Alfred and Genevieve (Simmons) Tobe, on August 30, 1946, in Greenville, OH. Ron served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ron worked his entire career at General Motors and was able to retire early. Ron was a member of several organizations including the Vandalia American Legion Post 668, The Irish Club of Dayton and the Englewood American Legion Post 707. Ron was a proud member of the Englewood Honor Guard for many years. Ron enjoyed golfing, had an enormous garden and loved the OSU Buckeyes. Ron also loved walking his beloved dog, Coco, at the Englewood Metro Park.

Ron is survived by his sons: James (Christina) Tobe and Jeffery Tobe. Grandson Layne Tobe. Siblings: Beverly (Steve) Hemmelgarn, Larry (Deborah) Tobe, Bonnie (Daryl) Evans, Scott (Laura) Tobe. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 51 years, Janice Mary (Broering) Tobe.

A Graveside Service for both Ron and Janice will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, April 24, 2026 at the Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W. Third St. Dayton, OH. 45425.)
