George E. Lehmann, age 67, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph A. Lehmann Jr. and Rosalind Wilke Lehmann. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Therm-O-Disc of London; had been organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years; and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Lehmann, and brother-in-law, Gary Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lehmann; son, Mark Lehmann and wife Lynn, of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, JoAnn Angel and husband Kenny, of Corbin; grandchildren, Gretchen, Broderick and George Lehmann, and Amanda and Nicholas Angel; brothers and sisters: Joe Lehmann and wife Charlene, Ralph Lehmann and wife Diane, Dorothy Scheu and husband Tom, Larry Lehmann and wife Mary Ann, Rosie Goubeaux, Mary Lehmann, Monica Wirick and husband Mike, Virgie Matis and husband Mike, Agnes Elder and husband Sean, and Cathy Cooper, all of Dayton, Ohio, and Patty Foresta and husband Brian, of Livonnia, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Mark Dreves as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church gym. Rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Twin Valley Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Sacred Heart Choir.
