ROGERS, Richard Robert, age 61 of Springboro, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Hospice of Dayton, after a courageous four-year battle of cancer. Dick was born on January 25, 1946 to Paul and Eileen Rogers. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diane; 3 children, Rick and daughter-in-law, Paula of Tampa, FL, Chrissy and son-in-law, Major Robert Eigel, USAF of Springboro, and Mike Rogers of Springboro. He was "Paps" to his 2 granddaughters, Danielle and Abbe Eigel, who he totally adored. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Dr. Thomas (Dr. Chris) of Philadelphia PA and Paul (Glenna) of Columbus. Dick was a graduate of Chaminade High School, served in the U.S. Army, worked for the U.S. Post Office for 24 years, was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Franklin and was a life-long fan of the Cleveland Browns. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2008 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 272 Bainbridge St., Dayton, Ohio 45402. Father Thomas Shearer officiating. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
