Sandra Drewett, age 71, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, December 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wilbur and Doris Krapf, and sister, Dorothea Pate. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, David; son, David (Tara); grandchildren, Rebekah and Rhian; sister-in-law, Linda Wright; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Throughout her life Sandra loved spending time with her horses, dogs and pets of many kinds, as well as tending to the varied birds and wildlife surrounding her home. She shared a passion for plants, flowers and gardening with family and friends. Her loving smile and presence in our lives will be greatly missed. A special thanks to her caregiver and friend Willarda Colton, who made her life better than we could have on our own, to the folks at Hospice of Miami Valley for their care and compassion, and to the thoughts and prayers from our friends and associates who helped guide us through Sandy’s life ending journey. In respect to Sandra’s wishes, no funeral service is planned. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family in remembrance of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Dayton or Hospice of Miami Valley.
